“Andy treats music as the source, not the result of the industry. In so doing, he has modeled his business on honouring that source.” Ember Swift, Beijing
Welcome to frankcasting new media
If you're a serious musician, comedian, or writer who tours from town to town, or even just from venue to venue in Toronto, are your promotional videos truly representing what you do in performance? Do they capture your energy and ideas with the same kind of attention to detail and quality that your professionally produced and published works do? Can bookers and audiences far and wide really get a sense of what you deliver in person? If not, it may be time to speak with us at frankcasting new media.
The name frankcasting means more than a Toronto-based new media company headed up by Andy, whose last name is Frank. It is a whole approach to telling stories in video, a philosophy that informs the way we shoot and edit. It is all about authenticity, honesty and substance. It is about capturing the soul of a performance and the essence of the artist(s). This site features examples of this work, and all you need to know about using frankcasting new media.
Video of the Week
June 17, 2009
Toronto's Michael Brennan recently wrapped up his Sunday afternoon spring residency at Graffiti's in Kensington Market. He has a busy summer of festival gigs and the like, and chances are he'll be back at his favourite haunt soon. This song is called Hung Out to Dry. Michael is joined by his regular sidekick Steve Briggs and guests Colin & Helen in the back of the bus.
